At the Supreme Court to^jay John Anstie, a commission agent, of Palmerston North, claimed damages against John Hankins, a solicitor, of* Palmerston North, fer tb9 alleged improper use of knowledge acquired by him from the plaintiff. The latter alleges that he consulted ths defendant with regard to, the purchase of a pro-.* perty, which the defendant afterwardß bought, acquiring the same through information given by tho plaintiff. Tlie defence waa that the 'defendant himsdf was y in treaty for the property previous to plain.r tiff consulting him. IVIr Jellicoe appeared for the plaintiff and Messrs Skerrett and Cooper for the defendant.
