Needham, a Wellington expressman, was accidentally shot dead while rabbit shooting at Ohariu yesterday. .Needham was hand-, ing a gun down the side of « cliff to a companion^ and was holding the weapon by the muzzle^ when the trigger caught in the branches of a tree', and the gun was dascharged,; Ahe, shot striking vNeedfaain. over the heart. Death was instantaneous . Needham's wife witnessed the accident from the adjoining hillside. Thf deceased -leaves' a family of young children.
