At last arrangements have been made by which letters may be posted in the guard's van proper, a.t the rear of the 9.15 p.m train for Lyfctelton, so that persons will not have to travel to ■the front of ; the train if they want to post letters. It is hoped that in course of time a similar arrangement will be made at other trains connecting with steamers; ,
