"> Three months' bills are discounted at 3£ per cent. v Consols are quoted at 93|-. New South, Wales 4 per cent inscribed' stock is quoted at 115£, 3 per cent 95|. Victorian 4 per cent. 111£. New Zealand 3 per cent 945. Other stocks are unchanged. .The wheat markets are firm but inactive, owing to the (holidays. Cargoes aTe firmly held. South, Australian November shipments 30s 6d> per quarter ; Victorian January and February shipments 30s lid per quarter. Sugar is quiet. German 6s 6d, finst mark* granulated 8s 4£d. Butter — Ther© is an improving demand for colonial, which is firm ; choicest from 104s to 106s per cwt. There is a brisk trade in secondary at about 96s per cwt. The Paparoa's shipment arrived in excellent condition. Danish is dull and unchanged. Cheese is hardening. New Zealand from 49s to 50s per cwt. * 1 ' Copper-— On spot £49 2s 6d per ton; three months £49 15s per ton. Supplies .20,169 tons, deliveries 18,688 tons, stocks 22,051 tons, advised from Australia 3300 tons. Tin— -On spot £108 5s per.tdft; three months £106 5s per ton.' Lead £10 3s 9di per ton.
