- ♦ Th© Culverden train, this morning had on board the following visitors to Hanmsr Springs: — Messrs E. Drapper and S. Nebtlefold, of Christcburch ; Mliss J. Hall and Mr J. Hume, both of Dunedin ; Mr Wf' Doyle, of Easton; and Mr audi Mrs Gelding and Miss .Walker, all of Wyndhann, Southland. *Police-Sergea,nb J. S. Kelly will leave for Wellington by tb© Tarawera to-night on his way to Auckland, where 'be will spend six weeks' leave of absence. The Hon G. F. Richardson, who is in Christchurch to-day, will represent New Zealand at the Science Association's meeting in Hobart, and will also attend the Conference of Colonial Surveyors in Melbourne. The Hon E. Richardson, Captains Bingley and Sutherland, and Dre Hamilton and Baarnetb were among tbe passengers who arrived frora Wellington by the s.s. Tarawera this moniring. Mr Von Dadtelszen, tbe Registrar-General, left Wellington for Hobart yesterday to attend th© conference of Australasian statisticians there.
