The Agent-General advises that he is negotiating with Mr Chamberlain for the appointment of a new State Governor. Considerable difficulty is experienced in obtaining a suitable appointment, owing to the reduction in salary. THE QUEENSLAND REVENUE. BRISBANE, Jan. 3. The revenue for the . half-year was £2,300,000, an increase of £76,000 compared with the revenue for the previous corresponding half. The excess of revenue over expenditure is about £50,000. .
