— . — ♦ This morning's north train oarried the following passengers for Hanmee Springe: — Miss S. Maira, St Albans; Mrs H. Englebrecht, Bennett's ; Mr and Mrs E. W. Ralph, Rangiora ; and Miss Mulcock, Flaxton. Mr T. E. Donne, Government Tourist Agent, and Mr H. J. Matthews, Superintendent of Forestry, returned from Hanmer Springs last night. Tbe^ former's movements are somewhat uncertain, and he will probably remain in Ohristchurch for a few days. Mr Matthews, however, with Mrs Matthews, will return to Wellington by the Rotomahana to-night. Sir Joseph and Lady Ward and family will arrive from Wellington to-morrow, and will stay at Warner's Hotel to-morrow night. Drs Brown and Colquhoun arrived i"rpm Dunedin by the s.s. Moura this morning. Captain Yonge, Dr Black, and the Rev T. Lord arrived from the north by the s.s. Waikare this morning. After ' undergoing treatment for eyetrouble in Wellington, fhe Hon Captain Baillie, M.L.C., has left for his home near Picton.
