The following weather forecast was telegraphed from Wellington to-day: — A gale, from between the north-east afa- rjorth-weet after sixteen' houra at all 'places northward 1 of Lyttelton and Hokitika, ■a.nd aiter tan hours elsewhere. The barometer will fall everywhere eoo_.
