WEATHER FORECAST.
The following weather forecast was telegraphed from Wellington to-day: — A gale, from between the north-east afa- rjorth-weet after sixteen' houra at all 'places northward 1 of Lyttelton and Hokitika, ■a.nd aiter tan hours elsewhere. The barometer will fall everywhere eoo_. The. eea will be heavy after sixteen hours on nil "the west coast and between Castlcpcint and Kaikoura, and after tweroty hours northward of East -Cape, and moderate elsewhere. The tide, will be high *bn the east coast northward of East Cape and southward of Casitlepoint, -and also on all th© west coast, and poor between Castlepoint and East Cape. Rain i_ probable after from sixteen to twenty hours i» ail parts of the country. Warning _igr_ls for northerly gales are exhibited at Cape Maria Van Diemen and Tiritiri, and at Capes Campbell, Farewell Spit and Foulwind. Synopsis of th» tast twenty-four hours:— A steadily pressure- everywhere, with fine weather. Frost has been reported from Cambridge, Taupo, Tophouse, Blenheim and Roxburgh. A low pressure from the west is du3 at ihe meridian of South Cape late tomorrow. The pressure is low in the TVsman Sea.
