Mr R. Thompson cafle-d the attention of the Government to the recent decision of the Appeal Court in a'egard to defamatory libel, and asked what it proposed to do in tlie matter.
"The Right Hon R. J. replied tha.t the Government- looked upon the matter as a most serious one, and recognised the necessity for itfciediately passing legislation to ~ meet' f he situation.
