News from Norfolk Island states that the steamer Mambare, which arrived, on June 6, reports having passed, jvhile eighty miles west of the island, a quantity of Oregon pine, apparently' a deck cargo, which had not been long in the w^ter. (Received June .25, 10.10 v a.m.) PROFESSOR LOWRY. SYDNEY, June 25. Professor Lowry has resigned the Principalship of the Roseworthy Ctyflege prior to proceeding to Canterbury, where he hasp accepted a similar position at the Lincoln Agricultural College*.
