MONDAY.
On Monday their Royal Highnesses will leave To Koraha at 10.15 a.m., and wili be driven along Carlton- Mill Road, Park ■: Terrace, Salisbury Street, and Victoria Street, to Victoria Square. Here the Children's Demonstration - will be held. The Mayor and Mrs Rhodes will receive their Royal Highnesses. Four chairs will be provided in the -front- row for the Duke and Duchess and Lord and Lady Ranfurly. A bouquet of flowers will be presented to the Duchess by Ida Mary Reese, cf the Syd-£in'ham School, on behalf of the School g-irls. She will be supported by Gladys Walker (Addington School), Lucy Hatch (Richmond), and the . representative of the Marist Brothers' Schools. '.*;.. , On the arrival of the RoyfJ pan-ty and the sound of cornets; all the children will tise,->&nd at a signal from the condust-or give three cheers. Then there will be oomplete silence, and -one- verse of tihe National Amth-am will be sung when the signal is given by the band. The children will remain •standing, the boys with their hate off. Ac. the bouquet-girls aTe retiring from the Royal party (after presenting the bouquet) all the children will again give three cheers, taking the time from the conductor. As .the Royal party are moving, away one verse of the National A-uthen- will be swig -again,' «xid three cheers will bw repe^fcad; At 11*15 a. m. their Royal.Highnesses will drive via Victoria and Kilmore Streets, Park Terrace, over Carlton. Bridge, and enter Hagley Park by the Riccarton Road gate. Hi. Royal Highness will review the troops and afterwards present the South African war medals to returned officers, non-com-missioned officers and troopers pf the New Zealand Contingents. . •; The oolours will be presented to the returned Contingents of the Mounted Infantry and, Rough! Riders. - Their Royal. Highnesses will Cleave Hagley Park &nd proceed via Riccarton Road, Oxford Terace, Montreal and Kilmore Streets, Oranmer Square and Park Terrace to Te Koraha.* The Government will entertain the veterans and returned officers* non-commissioned officers and troops at a lunoh in the Art Gallery at 1.30 p.m. His Royal Highness •vrill attend* Their Royal Highnesses will dine q,t Te Koraiha. at B, p.m. » In the evening the city will be illuminated again, and selections of music will be played by the. visiting and local bands. , At 8 p.m. the Savage Club will entertain at supper tiie- literary men and artists at•tached to the Royal Pirty.
