In the case of the application of W. Bay lisa for an accommodation -license at West" Melton, the Police reported that the water-siipply for the house was inadequate, being obtained irom a* small ram-water tank. Mr Bruges appeared for • the lessee, and stated that the house was the property of Mrs Searie, of Christchurcn. The lease was taken in August, 1900, ior three years,' and it would be hard to ask tiie lessee to; carry out all repairs suggested by the Police.
