The generals at Pekin have informed the? Ministers that it will be possible to withdraw the troops when the indemnity ha» been settled. The generals have decided to allow the Chinese Civil Government to> gradually regain authority at Pekin. Reuter's correspondent states that a portion of a German force was entrapped in a defile in the Kukwan Pass, Shansi, and forty-fivd out of eighty were disabled.
