Sir,— On reading Saturday's issue of the "Star" I noticed these lines: "Eight hours' work, eight hours' play, eight hours sleep, eight bob a day." Abo, on turning ovei a London "Tit-Bits' 1 of September, 1900, I read : " New Zealand, the paradise for the working maa. That the Government of New Zealand would give *o_a» able and willing employment at eight shillings a day." Is there any authority for those remarks?
