THE JUBILEE EXHIBITION.

The splendid collection of pictures that has been brought together in the Art Gal- [ leiy of the Jubilee Exhibition, is admittedly i one of the finest that there lias ever been an [ opportunity of seeing in New Zealand. Some of the gems of the collections fill a page of the illustrated supplement of the "Canterbury Times," and very interesting they are. Needless to say that they include that charming and highly popular picture, "Sunny Hours," from the gifted brush of E. A. Waterlow, the Royal Academician, of which the city of Dunedin is the proud possessor. Another fine study, lent by Captain Garsia, is Adrian Stokes' "Among the Sandhills" — a sturdy-footed girl leading sheep. Other pictures that have been reproduced lare Waterloo's peaceful-looking composition, "The Shepherd's Return," lent by Mr J. Roberts ; Brangvvyn's " The Castle," lent by Mr J. M. Ritchie, and " Early Violets," painted by Mr A. Percival.
