A pro re nata meeting of>the Christchurch Presbytery was convened on Wednesday morning in St -Paul'? Church, to dispose of a unanimous? call from the Presbyterian Church of Kaitangata to the Rev R. Scott Allan, of Sydenham. Captain Meikleham, and Messrs Stewart and Lisrhtbody, deputies from the Sydenham congregation, were heard, after which Mi - Allan addressed the Presbytery. It was resolved to place tho call in the hands of Mr Allan, who announced his acceptance of it. Farewell discourses will be preached on Nov. 11. The Rev Dr Erwin was appointed moderator of the vacancy. Mr Allan will be inducted to his new charge on Nov. 21. Ethel : What makes your hair so beautifully glossy?
