His conduct, although almost unbearable, was put up with for some time, until b|« supper he held up on his fork a piece of meat wihach had been served to him, and in a vein of intended 1 humour he looked round and remarked, "Is this pig?" which imme' diately drew forth the remark from a quiet* looking individual sitting at the r other end of tbe table, " Which c*td of the fork do yo\J refer to?"
