THE VOLUNTEERS.
Yesterday evening Lieutenant-Colonel Gordon inspected tha newl^-formed Lyfctelton Naval Cadet Corps, thirty-six members of which were on parade underActing-Capr tain Longuet. They x^ere put through various company movements without arms, and bshavfd in a. manner creditable to both themfiflves and their instructor, Gunner M'Gregor, of the Permanent Artillery. The lads looked very we.ll in their new uniforms,, which -were hupplied by Mr j. Pahner, of Lyttelton. They are to be armed with Snider carbines.
