HOCKEY.
A very enthusiastic meeting was held it the Avon boathouse on Monday for the purpose of forming a hockey club in connection with the Rowing Club. The captain (Mr J. M'Donald), oci cupied the chair. The following were elected officers: — President, -Mr C. Allard ; vice-president, Mr J. M Donald ; captain, Mr G. Scott ; vic?-c;iptain, Mr J. Murphy; tecrefcary ;uid treasurer, Mr C. E. Good. The ides of the hockey cluh is to keep the •owing members together during the winter honths, and promises to be a great success.
