DESTRUCTION OF THE BRIDGE AT COLENSO.
.LADYSMITH SAFE. (Received Nov. 20, 0.55 a.m.) DURBAN, Nov. 19. The Boers explain that the explosion on Nov. 16 was caused by the destruction of the Tugela Bridge at Colenso. General White on Nov. 13 reported all well. His runner, leaving on Nov. 15, reported that the garrison was buoyant. The enemy on Nov. 14 were repulsed and punished while attempting a closer investment of Ladysmith.
