Captain Dilner, who had been m temporary charge of tho latter vessel, ha 3 relieved Mr Hayes as chief officer of tho Brunner. The Wellington " Evening Post " announces that, through the agency or Captain Holm, of the barque G. M. Tucker, the Westport Coal Company has purchased the composite barque Darra, built in' 1865, for hulk purposes at Lyttelton. The Darra was to leave Sydney this week, in charge of Captain Holm, for Newcastle, to load coal for Lyufcelton. Writing to a friend in Wellinjrton, Captain Holm states that vessels suitable for hulk purposes are hard to obtain at the present time, but the Darra is a good sound vessel, and should in every way meet the requirements of the company. Her dimensions are — Length, 190 ft 7m;, breadth, 33ft; depth, Hit.
