[Per Press Association.] IJUNEDIN, Sept 20. Notice of appeal has been given by the Colonial Bank liquidators from the judgment of tlie Supreme Court of March 25 of last year in the oat warrant cases of the Ward Farmers' Association. Cross notices have been served by Mr John Connell and Messrs Brooks and Co. This means tliat the liquidation of the Colonial Bank will not be completed for some time yet. At the City Council to-night a letter from the Tramway Company was received, stating that the time in which the Council had a right to accept the company's offer for the sale of the tramways had expired, and renewing an application for the right to use electric traction. The Council resolved to offer the Tramway Company £48,240 instead of £45,000, on a basis of the settlement effected at the date of Mr Bingham's offer to the company.
