ADDINGTON YARDS.

THIS DAY. [Per the " Star's " Pigeon Express.] There were fair yardings of most classeis of stack at Addington, and a very gtood attendance. Tie 218 -head of fa.fc cattle were mostly light-weights and secondary sorts, with a few exceptionally good builqcks. . Really prime beef was a trifle firmer,, selling fully up' to 20s per 1001 b; biib there was a)o cban.ee in other sorts. Two fine bullocks from Mr J. Ensor, Oust, brought £10 10s each } . and 6 good sorts from Mr W. Bisset. of Oama'ru, ranged from £8 17s 6d to £9 15?, while a dealer's lot of a dozen from the Peninsula brought from £8 to £9 10s. Otlier steers ranged from £7 to £9 for good, and from £4 15s to £6 10s for lighter sorts ; (heifers £4 15s ta £6 7s 6d, and covn £3 12s 6d to £6. There is' nothing good in either dairy or store cattle. Fat sheep of all classes are well represented, and the Hile has opened at fully up to last week's rates. About a score of young lambs were on offer, but competition was net quite so keen as last week, and prices ranged from 9s to IBs 9J. The yarding of store sheep was small, and there was n.nt the demand that there h.ia. been lately. The only two lines of wethers in clranc-ed hands at lfls lOd and 15s 4<i. wethers and ewes selling at from 13s lid to 15s 4d, and Jiosrfrot-s at from 11s 7d to 14s 6d. while ewes in lamb brought 14s lid to 16s 3d, and p.wrr jvn-d 3aro«bs (all counted) at 9s to 9s 6d.
