AUSTRALIAN RESIDENTS IN TRANSVAAL.
AN APPEAL TO THE COLONIES. SYDNEY, August 1. The Premier has communicated to the Australian Premiers a cable which he has received from Australian residents in the Transvaal, asking sympathy. The Queensland Goveisimeint has replied agreeing to cordially co-operate in any prudent reply which Mr Reid may send as long as he did not embarrass Mr Chamberlain's action.
