At the Akaroa school on Thursday, Jiliss Cook was presented by Mr M'Gregor with a v^ry handsome hand-bag, on behalf ol tho School children. Mr Bruce responded ; or -Miss Cook: In the evening Mr James 3ae, the: conductor of the Akaroa Prcsby«mn Church Choir, on behalf of the choir and Sabbath, school teachers, predated Miss Cook with a '■- handsomely■ound copy of " Church Praise." ifc * Joddy, ' superintendent of the Sabbath ;chool,* on behalf of the teachers, also poke in- appreciation of Miss Cook's ser*"ices in connection with the church, and I'ss Cook responded.
