ENTERTAINMENTS.
There was a good house at the Theatre Royal last evening, when the Steel-Payne Family of Bellringers gave another entertainment. Most of the items were encored, and the same programme will be repeated this evening. , To-morrow evening the company will give a sacred concert at the Theatre Royal. The Riccarton Juvenile Variety Company gave a very enjoyable entertainment in the Fendalton Sunday schoolroom last evening. The programme consisted of songs and dances from popular operas, and a number of pretty duets. The items contributed by Misses E. Thomson and Derrett, and Masters Pollard Stewart and Thomson were received with particular favour, and bad in eaoh instance to be repeated. The company will repeat the performance at Papanui on Tuesday evening.
