ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

Mr W. Clarkson, who had been acting as time-keeper at the dog trials yesterday, met with' an accident as he was leaving the ground. In going down the incline to the road m a light sulky, the horse he was driving was frightened by another trap coming up behind, and slued off the road into ' a gully, capsizing the vehicle and breaking both shafts. Mr Clarkson was not injured by the accident. '■■ The body of Blackburn Catlow, who was washed off the Timarn wharf by a heavy sea on May 13, was found floating in the harbour yesterday. The body was much disfigured. It was taken to the hospital morgue, where an inquest will be held today.
