WEDNESDAY'S WEATHER. Prom Observations Taken at 9 __.__. As compared with the previous day the barometric range was a little: tower in the north and higher in the south:— Auckland ' 30.08, Wellington 30.18, ".Qfeii&tahTirch' 30.33, Invercargill 30.28. With light and variable _ winds there was fine weather at most places ; passing showers af Spit and Castlepoint. .The shfide temperature at ordinary levels ranged from 62deg in the north to 36deg in the south ; Christchnrch 45deg, Bealey 23deg, and Hanmer Springs 33deg. The sea was -rough or heavy at Russell, Gisbome and Spit°; considerable at Timaru ; moderate to smooth elsewhere. The barometer at Christchurch was steady.
