Earl Stafford, while standing on Pottersbar Station, on the Great Northern Eailway, near Hatfield; fell in front of an express, and was decapitated. It is supposed that he fell while in a fit. (Fitz Osbert Edward Stafford-Jerning-ham, eleventh Earl of Stafford, was bora in 1833, and succeeded to the title in 1892.) On. Wednesday evening, as Mrs Heald, of Ohoka, was in her trap, along with her children, at the Kaiapoi railway station, her horse ori the approach of the Christchurch train, became restless, and began to plunge, breaking one shaft. None of the occupants were injured. .
