A match -was played at Amberley on' Saturday between the Amberley Club and a second team from the Rangiora Club, the ' home players winning by 79. games to 54. TKe play was as follows:— Ladies' Singles— Miss A. Coleman (A) beat Miss Hoare (R), 6-3; Miss Scott (R) beat Miss Coleman (A), 6-8; Miss Coleman (A) beat Mrs Ogden (R), 6-1 : Mrs Lane (R) beat Mrs Alley (A), 6-2. . Gentlemen's Singles-r-Mason (A) beat B. Strong (R), 6-2; Wagner (A) beat Howard (R), 6-1 ; Pearce (A) beat Ogden (R), 6-0; A. Strong (R) beat Moore (A), 6-5. Ladies' Doubles— Misses Coleman and A. Coleman (A) beat Misses Hoare and Scott, 6-4; Miss Coleman and Mrs Alley (A) beat Mrs Ogden and Mrs Lane (R), 6-2. Gentlemen's Doubles — Messrs . Wagner and Moore (A) beat Messrs Howard and A. Strong (R), 6-5. Combined Doubles— Miss Hoar© and B. Strong (R) beat Miss A. Coleman and Mason (A), 6-4 ; Miss Coleman and Pearce (A) beat Miss Scott and Ogden (R), 6-4; Mi3s Scott ' and Howard (R) beat Miss A.
