The demand was dull, and. bidding was spiritless, except for an odd pen of really prime beasts. Best bullocks £7 15s to £9, extra to £9 7s 6d, best cows and heifers £5 to £6, good £3 10s to £\ 15s. Fat Sheep.— 2o4o were penned. The demand was equal to the supply, and bidding was good. Wethers and maiden ewes 13s to 14s 6d, extra to 15s, good ewes lls 6c! to 13s, extra, to 14s 3d. Fat Lambs.— l2B2 were penned. Only a small proportion were prime, and for these competition was good, and late rates were maintained. Other descriptions were slow of sale, and low prices had to be accepted. Best 9s to lls, good 7s 6d to 8s 6d, others from 5s 3d. Pigs. — 92 of all descriptions came forward, and aoid well at late rates. Suckers 15s to 17s 6d, slips 18s to 21s, stores 25s to 30s, porkers 32s 6d to 39s baconers 42s to 545. DUNEDIN GRAIN MARKET. DUNEDIN, Jan. 25. Wheat. — Little or no business is doing, and quotations are purely nominal Oats. — The market is gradually receding, and prices to-day are about Is Bd. to Is 9d.
