STRUCK BY LIGHTNING.
The lighthouse at Puysegur Point, near Preservation Inlet, was struck on the dome by lightning on Nov. 28. Though the lightning travelled through the lighthouse and down the braces outside, the only damage done wiiis the splitting of a few boards and the tearing off of a band' that encircles the structure. Mr Sandager, who was on duty, was not injured.
