A JUDGE'S ERROR.
Even Judges of the Supreme Court are not infallible. In a paragraph, a few days ago, a Wellington paper stated that in delivering the Arbitration Court's award in the tailoresses' dispute, Mr Justice Edwards had made the remark that it was the fault of the Legislature that he had to call the tailoresses "workmen." The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Act of 1895 makes legal the general term " workers," to cover both sexes in disputes.
