AUCKLAND NEWS.
[Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Sept. 13. The Rev Joseph Campbell has discovered a process of making an illuminating gas from Waikato coal, an adaptation of water gas, but it has a natural pungent odour. The discoverer says that it can be surjplied at os per thousand feet, and that the cost of the plant would be £2000.
