CIIMBTCHURCH MOTETT SOCIETY.
The chilly weather did not prevent a very large number of people from attending at the Opera House yesterday afternoon, when Mendelssohn's oratorio, "The Elijah," was repeated to a packed house. The music throughout was more evenly rendered than at the previous performance, and the principals were quite as successful in their work. The choruses were well sung, full attention being paid to expression.
