Mr Ellis Wood wAs a passenger for the south by express this morning. An auction Bale of choice fruit will be held by Messrs Ayers, Beauchamp and Co. to-morrow, at their rooms. Mr C. Another old Canterbury pioneer has passed away in the person of Mr Thoma3 Ingleson, who die<l at his residence, George Street, Christchurch, early on Saturday morning. Mr Ingleson came out to Canterbury in the ship " Mary Ann "about forty-five years ago, and took up the business of a cabinet maker in Christchurch, which occupation ho followed until his death. The deceased leaves a large circle of friends to mourn their loss.
