TIMARU NEWS.
[Per Press Association. I TIMARU, March 29. The Borough Council last night resolved to request the co-operation of other municipalities in urging on the Government the desirability of passing a Bill to provide for State fire insurance, or to enable municipal bodies to undertake insurance on a majority of the burgesses voting for it. The borough valuation this year is .£35,500, a reduction of £1200.
