THE EASTER ENCAMPMENT.

The volunteer camp at Sumner will begin on April 7. The Canterbury Yeomanry Cavali'y, the Mounted Rifles and the Artillery, numbering from 100 to 110, will camp in the Sumner Domain, where the horses will be picketed. The two infantry battalions, with the Engineers and staff, will pitch their camp in Graham's paddock, where the camp kitchen will be situated. The officers' horses will be stabled in various, parts of the .borough. The Borough Council are allowing the uae of water free, and their surveyor is at present engaged in superintending the work of laying the pipes.

The company parade of the Imperial Rifles last night was attended by fifty-two members. Captain Charlewood was in command, and Lieutenants Marciel and Holderness were p'resent. It is hoped ; that all members will make a' point of regularly attending the company parades, • as it is only by their doing so that the corps can be brought to the necessary i pitch of efficiency. i The annual meeting of the Christ's !
