-" Captain Edwin sent the following weather forecast to Captain Clark, harbour-master, yesterday afternoon—"Wind between south-eat and east and north at all places during the m-xt twelve hours, but changing after that time »o between northeast and north and west at all places southward of Kapler and New Plymouth. Burometer further rise at all places northward of Lytielton and Hokitika, but falling again southward of Napier and New Plymouth afier ten houi a. Sea moderate 'on both coasts. Tides high on all western coast, and increasing on the east coast south of East Cape. ■Northerly gales, probably with rain, are to be expected at all places southward of Napier and New Plymouth after from ten to twenty hours."
