ELECTRIC LIGHT.
Tn the course of a discussion at the meeting of the Hospital Board [ yesterday afternoon, on the proposed , adoption of the electric light, the Chair- ■ 'man pointed out that its working cost . would not be more than J2IOO a year. He' estimated the' cost of installation at [ .£ISOO, and the cost of the necessary build- , ings and boiler power at .£BOO more. He . referred to the fact that the electric light , was cleaner and more wholesome than gas, , and said that he thought that fully .£3OO a year would be saved to' the ratepayers by its adoption. It was finally resolved to allocate the sum of .£2147 for this purpose.
