[ The Proprietors of the "Canterbury Times" propose to inaugurate a series of Photoor-puic Competitions open to bona fide amateur photo- .■ graphers in all parts of New Zealand. For the first competition three prizes will be offered. It is essential that the photographs sent in should be suitable for reproduction in the paper; otherwise, they will be considered ineligible for competition. Pictures which have previously appeared in other : journals are piohibited.
