ADDINGTON YARDS.
THIS DAY. [Per " Star's " Pigeon Express.! There were large yavdings in all departments at the live stock market to-day, and the attendance was an unusually big one. Store sheep came forward in great force, but the demand, doubtless owing to the continued dry weather causing a scarcity of feed, with poor prospects of grass for the winter, was very dull. Breeding ewes were hard to quit, and the prices offered for some very good lines of forward wethers must have been discouraging to those who bought at the Culverden sale. The fat sheep pens are well filled: but, owing to the length of the store sheep sale, this department will not be reached until late. The entry of fat lambs was a large one, but the bulk comprised rather poor sorts, many of which should have been in the store yard The best linps only commanded competition at up to 10s 9d, any others being neglected, and backward lots sold as low as :4s 3d. The entry of fat cattle was a medium one, containing a fair proportion of light-weight steers. There, was very little ; competition, and last ..'Week's Urates were ifaaintained. : Sigs again came for•ward in large numbers, inclu___& a good •proportion:-- fats." _.acone__r and pickers again met a keen demand, and, if anything, last week's prices were exceeded.
