Rangiora Fire Brigade.— After tho fortnightly practice of this brigade on Monday evening, the medals won at the Auckland competitions were pinned to the breasts of Branchmen C. dv Moulin and W. Jordan, Secretary W. T. Wilson and Firemen G. Jordan and J. Thompson (the Brigade's representatives) by Superintendent Smith. Three years members' certificates were presented to Firemen A. Shankland, A. Birss, J. Thompson, D. E. Blake., S. Ogden and G. S. Jordan. School Excursions.— The annual excursion of the Rangiora State school children is to be held to-morrow, Lyttelton having been selected for the out- ( ing. A whole holiday will be observed in the town, and, in consequence, it is expected that the party will be a large one. The Lyttelton Harbour Board has granted the use of No. 2 Shed to the excursionist-.— About 350 Teinuka school children, with their friends, visited Ashburton yesterday. The day was fine, and tlie visitors enjoyed themselves in the domain.
