Tuesday, March 22. (Before Mr R. Beetham, S.M.) Breach op the Licensing Act.—T. B. Gafiiney was charged with having, on Sunday., March 13, supplied others" than boarders vtith. liquor. Mr Stringer appeared- tfor <Gaffney, -who admitted the charge, i»nd jatfine of 40s was inflicted, the license to lbe .endorsed. The Rabbit Nuisance.—Richard May Morten was .charged with having failed to comply 'witih^ainotice of the Rabbit Inspector to destroy .rabbits on his property at Mount Pleasant. After hearing the evidence, Mr Beetham said the defendant had no men put aside especially for the work, and the two Gae at present employed the inspector thotagtot were uotrsufficient. He must settle witib. the inspector how many ,men he should, .employ, and it was only .reasonable that he should mate special •nrovision to put down the Babbits. He inflict a nominal penalty of 20s.
