The Frank Thornton Season. — MiFrank Thornton has crowded and delighted audiences wherever he plays. Last night at Oaraaru the local theatre was packed in all parts, and many were unable to obtain admission long before the commencement of the performance. On Friday night Mr Thornton will begin a twelve nights' season in Christchurch at the Theatre Royal, with a new farcical comedy The Strange Adventures of Miss Brown, which enjoyed a long run at the Vaudeville Theatre, London, and is still being played with much success in England and America. In Australia it was undoubtedly the success of the past season, and has proved the best paying theatrical enterprise since that veritable gold-mine Charley's Aunt was first produced there in 1893. The box plans for the initial performance will be opened this morning at Messrs Milner and Thompson's office, and intending patrons should book their seats at once, as, judging by Mr Thornton's,: experiences in other places, he will have* overflowing audiences in Christchurch. .
