CHRISTCHURCH SHEEP-DOG TRIAL CLUB.

■ +■ A meeting of the Christchurch Sheep-Dog Trial Club was held at Messrs H. Matson and Co.'s salerooms on Saturday afternoon. There was a good attendance, and MrjF. A. Archer occupied the chair. Letters were read from the Methven Club to the effect that it proposed holding its trials next month, and from the Waikari Club, stating that its meeting was to be held on April 22 and 23. After Bome discussion it was resolved to hold the club's trials on April 28 and 29. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: — President, Mr W. Reece ; vice-presidents, Messrs G. E. Rhodes and W. O. Rutherford ; secretary, Mr H. H. Ellis; treasurer, Mr W. W. Morten; committee, Messrs C. P. Hugonin, W. B. Clarkson, R. C. Wilson, V. Elder, D. Fraser, C. Stewart, H. Gray, F. A. Archer (chairman), J. J. Isbister, J. D. Millton,' A. W. Bennetts, R. Latter, L. Wilson, W. Henderson, L. Matson, O. Bradley, and C. E. Calcutt, with power to add to their number. It was resolved to have a heading and bringing-back competition, with prizes of .£lO, £4> and .£1 ; heading, bringing-back and yarding, with prizes of J2lO, .£5 and .£1 ; and hunt away with slew, with prizes of £6, £3 and £1. A sub-committee was appointed to fix the points for the different events. Messrs C. P. Hugonin, P. Elder, A. W. Bennetts, R. C. Wilson and H. Gray were appointed a committee to arrange for a suitable ground for the trials. It was resolved that entries should close c n April 21. The meeting then closed.
