PRESENTATIONS.

At the Commercial Hotel, Ashburton, on Friday evening, Mr T. Boden, of the railway locomotive department, was presented with a black marble clock, the giffc of his fellow-employes, on the eve of his marriage. The presentation was made by Mr Parsons, stationmaster. At the Christchurch branch of the D.1.C., on Saturday afternoon, Mr E. C. Brown, on behalf of the staff, presented Mr H. Taylor, of the furnishing department, with a travelling rug and bag on the occasion of his departure for the North Island. Mr Brown said that Mr Taylor had endeared himself to his fellow-em-ployes during his seven years' service, and had also gained the confidence of his employers, and they all wished him success in his new sphere.
