ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
ACCIDENT TO THE OPAWA COACH. As the 12.30 coach was coming from Opawa to town yesterday afternoon, the horses, which were driven by a lad, got beyond his control, and eventually ran the coach into the picket fence surrounding the Opawa Church, over fifteen feet of it being wrecked. The coach and passengers, however, escaped uninjured. It is alleged that the lad who was driving is, besides being unlicensed, under the age stipulated by the by-law. If that be true, it behoves the City Fathers, if they do not wish to risk a possible fatal accident taking place at a future date, to take such steps as may be necessary to compel the proprietors to employ experienced and licensed drivers.
