[Per Pbess Association.! DUNEDIN, March 17. The following report of the Mount Lyell Mining and Eailway Company for the week ending Feb. 23 has been received from Dunedin from our special correspondent.:—Sinolting plant No. I—Five1 — Five i'liruaces in operation. Prolongation of main brick flue for No. 6 furnace: In progress. Smelting plant No. 2—Excavation for building, &c. proceeding. Platelaying of inclined haulage line for material's—ln progress ; formation completed. Excavation for main chimney — Progressing favourably ; other preliminaries in hand. New laboratory — Interior construction ia progress. New machine shop — Nearly ready to occupy. ...New sawmill — Nearing completion. Converter plant — Extension of storage' arid loading platform in hand. Five thousand four hundred and thirty- . six tons of blister copper have been consigned' to date, being' 2171 tons for the current half-year. •
