FOOTBALL.
•- The annual general meeting of the. New Brighton Football Club was held last Thursday evening. The following officers were elected :-President, Mr G. M'lntyre j vice-presidents, Messrs E. C Bishop, Maco, Miller, Wyatt, Lyons, Hooker, Patrick, U_. W. Bishop, Curtis, White, Pyne and Boauchamp; captain, Mr E. J. Foster (reelected); vice-captain, Mr W. Phiihps (reelected); secretary, Mr E. Neilson ; treasurer, Mr E. Kodger ; delegate to Rugby Union, Mr ]?. Cowper (re-elected) ; general committee, Messrs Pearce, Lawrie, Searle, Bell and Miller ; selection committee, Captain, Vice-Captain and Messrs Neilson and Searle. Eight new members were, elected. It was decided to open the season on Saturday, March 19, and to enter a team for the President's Cup. The meeting was then adjourned till Thursday, March 17, to receive the balance-sheet.
